Job Description
Job Specification: HR Officer - Mining Industry - Northern Cape

Hire Resolve's esteemed client in the Mining Industry is seeking an HR Officer who will be responsible for the effective management and administration of all human resources policies, programs, and practices within the mining industry in the Northern Cape. They will provide HR support to line managers and employees, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, ensuring smooth integration of new employees into the organization.

2. HR Policies and Procedures:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in accordance with organizational goals and industry regulations.
- Review and update HR policies periodically to ensure compliance and alignment with best practices.

3. Employee Relations:
- Provide guidance and support to line managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions based on findings.

4. Performance Management:
- Coordinate the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluation, and feedback sessions.
- Assist line managers in identifying and addressing performance issues.

5. Compensation and Benefits:
- Support the implementation and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure competitive pay structures.
- Facilitate the annual performance-based salary review process.

6. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs.
- Implement initiatives to promote employee learning and development.

7. HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee data, contracts, and attendance.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.

Requirements:

- National Senior Certificate 
- BCom HRM / B.Soc.Sc Industrial Psychology Degree
- At least 3-5 years’ HR generalist experience
- Valid Drivers’ License
- Previous experience working in the mining environment will be beneficial
- Experience working on HR systems will be beneficial 
- Strong knowledge and understanding of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of safety and health regulations in the mining industry is a plus.
